For this image, we were studying nondestructive editing with smart objects and filters. We were also to create and use a watermark on our image. We also studied a few Photoshop artists this week. There work was all created with the use of many layers and filters. In my image, there are many layers, converted into smart objects with smart filters.

There are two pictures, one of a berry tree and one of my daughter and husband. The berry tree image was duplicated and mirrored to give some symmetry. In Illustrator, with the use of some brushed and an ellipse tool, I created some berry vines to layer over the picture of the actual picture. I used the burn tool on the back image of the actual tree, to lighten the leaves.

I have applied many filters to all of the layers. I used an effect of selecting the white space behind the tree and a radial blur with an outer glow to create the sunbeam effect. On the drawn berry vine layer I used a lens flare filter to give the image a fun lighting effect, as though there is a sun behind the people. To both the people and the tree layers I applied the cutout filter to give the image a less realistic look.

After the image was complete, I opened my header psd and copied the layers that had the name, tag line, and logo in it. I then used the effects panel and applied high bevel and emboss, as well as drop shadow, while dropping the fill opacity to 0%. This was a fun piece to create, and I am excited to create more Photoshop artwork.
